Al-Mashat vows to resist any attack on Iran by legitimate means

Mahdi al-Mashat warned that Yemen will oppose any participation in Israeli aggression against Iran. He urged Arab and Islamic nations to unite and resist foreign intervention. He also cautioned that U.S. involvement would only deepen the conflict and bring consequences.

AhlulBayt News Agency: President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi al-Mashat, announced on Saturday that he will instruct the Foreign Ministry to send a memorandum to the United Nations. The memo will inform the UN of preparations by certain member states to participate in Israeli aggression against Iran.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), President al-Mashat declared that Yemen will oppose any involvement in the aggression against Iran using all legitimate means.

He urged Arab, Islamic, and peace-loving nations to adopt the same stance, warning against waiting until each country is targeted individually.

Al-Mashat emphasized that Yemen’s position is grounded in humanitarian, religious, and moral principles, supported by international and regional agreements as well as Yemeni law.

He criticized countries that have abandoned their responsibility to uphold international peace and instead support aggressors in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. He warned that ignoring the ambitions of arrogant powers would eventually endanger all nations.

Al-Mashat reaffirmed that any attack on an Islamic country would be met with force, a stance he had previously declared.

He also warned that U.S. involvement in Israeli aggression against Iran would only deepen American entanglement, with consequences visible to all.

Finally, he stated that Yemen’s Humanitarian Operations Center has been directed to take appropriate legal measures, and that any party supporting or participating in the aggression must be held accountable.
